Sticky Hands (Bonus Round Rule)

The Sticky Hands bonus round rule is one of the many rules that can be applied during the Bonus Round episodes. It has a chance to spawn on floor 2 for every character. However, it is considered game-definingly rare, so it has a very rare chance to be offered compared to other rules.

Sticky Hands Enemies have a chance to go first.

Once this rule activates, the beginning of a battle is changed. At the start of each fight, if you have more than half health, the enemy has a 60% chance to gain an innate status that allows them to go first. If you have half health or less, the enemy has a 20% chance to gain that status.

The extra status allowing them to go first is appended to the innate status they may already have, so an enemy like Stereohead has a chance to both be weak to shock and go first in the same battle.

Trivia

  • When bosses and enemies like Jester go first, they will only say their lines of dialogue after they've done their first turn.

Bugs

  • If the Slime Bonus Round rule is active when the enemy goes first, you will lose 2 health at the start of the battle and 2 health at the start of your first turn (although your Poison will reduce by 2 when your first turn starts).
