Backstab is a piece of equipment in Dicey Dungeons whose damage increases by 1 after any other equipment is used on its turn. This includes reusable items as well as character skill equipment uses such as Uptick.

Backstab was once a skillcard gained by joining the “Assassin's Guild” as Thief, back when guilds existed during the game's alpha. This explains why it is colored gray like other skill cards and why Thief cannot get it from any normal item pools.

Thief in the Night, Finders, Keepers, The Elimination Round (Thief):

• 20.25% chance to be offered as a trade for any of Poison Needle, Crowbar, Lockpick or Dagger

Uptick:

• Level 5 reward option

Bonus Round (Thief):

• 28.57% (2/7) chance to be a Level 5 reward option

Can be generated from the Lunasa equipment if playing as the Witch, and can also show up in the fourth slot if the Witch bonus round rule is active.

Thief: Reunion:

• Level 5 reward option

Inventor: Reunion:

• Level 4 reward option
• Has a chance to spawn from small scrapped equipment
